The book symbol that appears during the base game has dual roles of wild and scatter. During its wild role, it can replace any other symbol to form a winning combination. As a scatter symbol, if players land three, four or five symbols it pays out a maximum of 200x the original bet and awards ten free spins.
Before the free spin round begins, a book opens to reveal a special symbol which is selected at random. Players have the option to reject the first symbol in an attempt to be awarded a more valuable one.
During the free spin round, if the special symbol appears as part of a win, it expands to cover the full reel.
A second wild book, the golden book, is included in the free spins round and appears on reels two, three or four. When the symbol lands, it turns its respective reel into a golden reel. This then transforms into a special expanding symbol if a win with the chosen symbol is possible.
