SYMBOLS
Big Bass Hold & Spinner Megaways’ low value symbols are represented by the playing cards 10 through Ace. Depending on the combinations that land on the reels, these symbols can pay x0.1 to x1.5 the player’s wager.
High value symbols come in the form of fishing items – a fish, a tackle box, a dragonfly, a fishing rod and a fishing float. These symbols can pay x0.2 to x50 the player’s bet depending on what combinations land on the reels.
The game also has wild, fish money, mystery, scatter, fisherman, coin money and diamond money symbols, represented by a fishing net, fish, a lantern, a leaping fish, a fisherman, a bronze coin and a diamond respectively.
The fishing net wild symbol can only appear on the topmost row and it substitutes for all symbols except for the scatter, fisherman and coin money symbols.
The game has a tumble feature which means, after every spin, winning combinations disappear from the reels once they are paid to the player. The remaining symbols fall to the bottom of the screen, creating space for new symbols to come from above of the same size as the initial spin.
The tumble feature will continue until no more winning combinations appear on the reels. All wins are added to the player’s balance after all the tumbles resulting from a base spin have been played.
The fish money symbol takes a random money value of either x2, x5, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50 or x5000 the player’s bet only during the free spins feature.
In the base game, these symbols explode and tumble normally. In the free spins mode, they do not explode and just fall to the bottom of the reels as the tumbles take place.
When three or more of the leaping fish scatter symbols appear on the reels, the free spins feature is triggered. Three, four, five or six scatter symbols award 10, 15, 20 or 25 free spins respectively. These symbols can appear anywhere on the reels and special reels are in play during the feature.
DETAILS
Only present during the free spins round, the fisherman symbol can appear on all reels except for the topmost row. Each fisherman collects the values of all fish money symbols on the reels.
All fisherman symbols that land during free spins are collected until the end of the feature. Every fourth fisherman collected will retrigger the feature, awarding 10 additional free spins and a multiplier for the fish money symbol depending on how many retriggers have already taken place.
The multiplier will be x2 for the first retrigger, x3 for the second, x10 for the third and for every subsequent retrigger. There is no limit to how many retriggers can occur, the additional spins are played once the previous lot of free spins ends and the multiplier applies to the retriggered spins.
At the end of the free spins, if there is a fisherman on the reels with no fish money symbols, a dynamite animation will occur, causing fish money symbols to appear in random positions.
The lantern mystery symbol can appear during the base game and free spins mode. During the base game, all present mystery symbols will transform into the same paying symbol.
In free spins mode and after a spin where only fisherman and no fish money symbols are present, the mystery symbol can randomly appear and transform into any other random symbols.
Appearing on all reels except for the topmost row, the bronze coin symbol takes a random value of either x1 through to x12, x14, x16, x18, x20, x22, x25 or x30 the player’s stake.
If three or more of these symbols are present on the reels, the Hold & Spin Bonus is triggered and three respins are awarded. The round has a minimum win of x20 the player’s wager and if the minimum win isn’t reached, additional respins are awarded to the player. Special reels are also in play during this feature.
When the bonus round begins, all coin symbols currently present on the reels remain in place while all other symbols fade away. The grid that was present when the bonus feature was triggered remains in place and the value of all initial coin symbols is added to the total win for the round.
If more coin symbols land on the reel during the bonus round, the respins counter is reset back to three and the value of each coin symbol is added to the total win for the round.
The diamond money symbol takes a random value of either x50, x100, x200, x300, x500, x1000 or x2000 the player’s wager.
The bonus round ends when there are no more respins left and the minimum win has been reached. The total value of what was collected is then awarded to the player.
