BC.Game ends UK operations

Crypto casino and sportsbook BC.Game has ended operations in the UK market, intensifying speculation over the future of the firm and its partnership with Leicester City FC.

The group released a statement confirming it would no longer operate in the UK, following reports that it was on the brink of losing its license.

Football news specialists, Josimar, reported that it had seen a Curaçao Gaming Control Board (GCB) document that the regulator is poised to revoke the licence of Small Dance B.V, the company which operates BC.GAME.

Disruption for BC.Game was fuelled by an ongoing court case in Curaçao, where there were customers who alleged losses due to system issues and accused the company of misconduct.

BC.Game had previously moved to assure Leicester City of its stability – providing the strongest assurances to the English Premier League team that they are actively appealing this case.

The football club stated: “BC.Game have further assured us that they have no issues with liquidity and that they remain fully committed to meeting their ongoing contractual and financial obligations, including to the club, and that this case will not impact on BC.Game’s continuing international operations.”

BC.Game issued a statement in response to allegations of bankruptcy in which it addressed the legal case in Curaçao. The platform has been accused of misconduct by its customers, who claim that they incurred losses due to system issues.

“We strongly disagree with the court’s recent rulings and will vigorously appeal the decision, as we believe it failed to adequately consider key facts,” a BC.GAME statement read.

“BC.GAME is confident in our ability to demonstrate compliance and uphold our reputation as a legitimate operator in the industry.”

A lack of UK presence brings the sponsorship of Leicester City into further doubt however, with both Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace having faced warnings recently over their partnerships with Kaiyun Sports, a brand which doesn’t operate in the UK.
