Beyond the Reels: Capturing players across the iGaming spectrum with ELA Games

Yaroslav Soloshenko, ELA Games’ Business Development Team Lead, emphasised the importance of adjusting content to capture players from across the iGaming spectrum.

Three ELA Games titles were in the spotlight during the latest episode of Beyond the Reels, as Soloshenko explained the vital role data played in designing and deploying the titles in new markets.

Wealth of Legends, a 5×5 slot set in Ancient Greece, Flame Fruits Frenzy, a fresh take on classic fruit games, and Rabbit Winpot Deluxe, a blend between a slot title and instant win game, cater to a wide player base across ELA Games’ target markets, detailed Soloshenko.

“Since ELA Games is present in different markets, from North America to Europe, our strategy is a content adjustment. With that we can meet and fulfill our players’ needs,” he added.

“Nowadays, the industry has become extremely competitive among the game providers and having a portfolio differentiation makes us more attractive to operators and players. It makes us memorable and noticeable.”

Focusing specifically on Wealth of Legends, ELA Games has included a buy bonus feature, which allows players to directly access the bonus game. This is something, Soloshenko detailed, that is targeted at ‘high-roller’ players who don’t want to spend time in the base game.

However, the title also features a hold and spin element in the base game to enhance this section of the game also.

He said: “Keeping the balance between an exciting base game and having a bonus buy added great value to the game because we considered both segments of the players with such decisions.”

At the core of all these decisions is ELA Games’ focus on being led by data as, in Soloshenko’s words, “data never lies”.

“My gut feeling may tell me that specific game thematics won’t work, but the data tells things completely differently. So we rely on data in that [situation] because my gut feeling is only my gut feeling,” he expanded.

“The data that we have from different operators allows us to analyse mechanics and thematics, and which geo prefers such thematics and mechanics,  and build the games based only on that. There is no room in the industry for gut feeling as the competition is on a very high level.”
