Wazdan took part in the latest episode of SlotBeats’ Beyond the Reels, providing insights into their upcoming title, Mighty Wild: Gorilla.
The soon-to-be-released game builds on the popularity of the Mighty Wild series, says Joanna Zdanowska-Bieniek, Account Manager at Wazdan, which includes Mighty Wild: Jaguar and Mighty Wild: Panther.
As part of the launch of Mighty Wild: Gorilla, the slots studio is collaborating with a local zoo to support three gorillas through funding.
Zdanowska-Bieniek stated: “We are really happy to be the supporters of three fantastic gorillas.
“We are going to provide the gorillas with all the support they need, help feed them and we hope that it will help to keep them in great condition. We are really proud of this decision.”
When asked if the concept of the Mighty Wild series had changed during the development of Wazdan’s latest title, Zdanowska-Bieniek responded that the core idea remained the same, but the studio wanted to take players on a journey through the jungle.
“The jungle theme is really popular among our players. We wanted to portray the sense of adventure and mystery inside it. The audiovisuals correspond to that, as we made every single effort to make the game truly stand out. It simply looks beautiful. I would say that our main focus is satisfying gameplay.”
Mighty Wild: Gorilla features only collector symbols and includes multipliers to increase values and cash out symbols to gather collect symbols instantly into player winnings, giving the slot a very high volatility.
The title also includes two bonus games, hold the jackpot and free spins, with slight differences in comparison to previous entries in the Mighty Wild series.
Zdanowska-Bieniek explained: “With previous releases, it was the Wild Rampage, but this time, we decided to go with advanced free spins. Both can be entered by hitting hold the jackpot or free spin symbols under a collector, respectively.
“When free spins introduce players with 10 free spins, what’s different this time is that the players can gather the value of cash and jackpot symbols through the collectors, which then pay out at the end of the bonus round.”
Mighty Wild: Gorilla also has chance levels, which allow players to increase the chance of entering a bonus round by up to 12 times.
Building on previous iterations of the Mighty Wild series, Mighty Wild: Gorilla pays homage to past versions by taking players through the wilderness seeking out treasure, but on a new trail through the jungle.
