May’s Eilers-Fantini report for the US saw familiar names dominate as Evolution, IGT and Light & Wonder cemented their place atop the supplier charts once again.

Much of the same can be said for individual games in the US as well, with the top three titles in the GGR charts remaining the same month-over-month.

Elsewhere in North America, Eilers-Fantini continues to monitor the Canadian gaming space, with Pragmatic Play rivalling the aforementioned ‘big three’ suppliers towards the top of the theoretical win supplier charts.

US revenue watch

Holding their positions as the top three games for GGR in the US report were IGT’s Cash Eruption slot and Blackjack table game, placing first and second, while Anaxi’s Buffalo slot remained in third place.

As Evolution’s Live Dealer Roulette placed fifth, the studio’s Live Dealer Baccarat title stormed into the top five to take fourth place, pushing Cleopatra from IGT out of the top five.

The rest of the top 10 for this category included IGT’s Blackjack Surrender, Reel Play’s Hypernova Megaways, Evolution’s Live Dealer Blackjack and 88 Fortunes by Light & Wonder.

From the top 25 games per GGR, 16 were slot titles, four were table games and five were live casino titles.

Variance came in abundance with the overall top games chart, with Cash Eruption climbing from third to top the pile and Blackjack moving up from fifth to second, both titles from IGT.

A solid performer in both the GGR and overall charts, Evolution’s Live Dealer Baccarat rose all the way from 16th to take third place, while Internal’s Craps title fell from second to fourth.

Capital Gains from AGS rounded out the top five, climbing slightly from its previous eighth place finish in April’s findings.

IGT celebrated its new land-based gaming cabinet Tiger and Dragon’s success in the ‘Premium Leased & WAP’ games category for this month’s report, in which it claimed first place.

Lauding the cabinet’s triumph, Nick Khin, IGT’s COO of Gaming, stated: “Building on the tremendous success of IGT’s Prosperity Link and Mystery of the Lamp games, Tiger and Dragon earning this number-one position in Eiler & Krejcik’s May 2024 game performance report validates our commitment to delivering the industry’s best MLP games.”

“Both Tiger and Dragon themes deliver compelling gameplay mechanics, vibrant graphics and stunning merchandising that provide our casino operator partners with games that players truly love to play.”

For the slot charts, Cash Eruption secured first place for consecutive months, followed by AGS’ Capital Gains which climbed from fourth to second place.

Inspired’s Stacked Fire 7s takes this month’s award for highest climber after leaping a massive 359 places to come third in the slots charts, after placing 362nd last month.

The slots charts also saw 88 Fortunes climb one place to finish fourth, while Fire and Roses Joker from Games Global was welcomed back into the top five after placing 19th in April.

Within the top 25 slots, 11 suppliers were represented as Greentube, Anaxi, Reel Play, Gamecode, Everi and White Hat Studios each placed at least once.

For the new game rankings overall, it was Gamecode that clinched first place as its Boom Boom Boom title rose from 11th place in April to take pole position.

In corresponding order, Anaxi’s Buffalo Gold Collection, Thundering Gorilla from Light & Wonder, Games Global’s Gold Blitz Extreme and Big Money Frenzy Jackpot Royale by White Hat Studios made up the rest of the top five.

For yet another consecutive month, each game that appeared in the top 25 new game rankings was a slot title, proving the vertical’s dominance in the US.

Speaking of dominance, the big three suppliers continued their reign at the top of the supplier charts with Evolution leading the way, followed by IGT and then Light & Wonder.

To further prove its dominance, Evolution saw an increase in GGR share across the month, gaining 18.6 per cent of GGR share, an increase on April’s 17.9 per cent.

IGT gained 17.3 per cent of GGR share (April: 17.1 per cent), while Light & Wonder’s share declined slightly to 13.8 per cent (April: 14.3 per cent).

Despite being the only supplier to come close to the top three, Games Global’s GGR share also declined slightly across May, coming in at 9.2 per cent (April: 10.6 per cent).

Once again, slots remained the dominant segment for total games tracked, with a total percentage of 91.7, ahead of table games which stands at 3.6 per cent.

Instant win was up next with 1.7 per cent, slightly ahead of live casino’s 1.5 per cent, video poker’s 0.9 per cent and the 0.3 per cent shared between bingo/keno and lottery segments.

Mobile recorded 69.9 per cent for the highest percentage of theoretical win generated, beating desktop’s 28.6 per cent and tablet’s 1.5 per cent.

This latest analysis examined data from Michigan, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Connecticut across 30 online casino sites, tracking 56,742 games to represent around 64 per cent of the US market.
