As fireworks lit up the sky around the world to celebrate the end and subsequent beginning of yet another 12 month cycle, for one nation it marked a significant cultural shift that was almost 80 years in the making.
January 1, 2025, witnessed the birth of a further regulated online gambling market, as Brazil became the latest in a long line of frantic scrambles. This saw local players, international juggernauts and many in-between charge for a podium placement at the earliest chance.
Despite Brazil’s federal framework for online gaming having more than its fair share of detractors, after being over five years in the making, interested parties were certainly not willing to let go of what was billed by many as a dream opportunity.
As the year rolled-on, showfloors around the world became awash with talk of Brazil. However, as the immediate craze began to subside, moves were increasingly made across the wider continent, as the industry eyes became more aware of the wider prospects possessed.
LatAm has formed a key point of expansion for Pascal Gaming, with the potential growth prospects highlighted long before a regulatory green-light was issued.
In the latest of a series of insights, the studio’s Head of Sales, Armen Mnaskanian, offers a glimpse into where their footprint currently stretches across the region, and, more specifically, the type of content that has proven to resonate with natives across the country.
“We are already certified and licensed in Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Buenos Aires and our games have proven very successful in the region,” he explains.
“LatAm players particularly enjoy mobile-first, fast-paced, and bonus-driven content, which matches perfectly with our crash, instant, and slot portfolio.”
This widespread appeal is particularly pertinent for Pascal Gaming given the vast array of verticals on offer via a single integration, which it is hoped will pay dividends on a widespread scale on numerous corners of the LatAm jurisdiction.
A further plus point comes from forming a part of the wider BetConstruct group. A key advantage highlighted to iGaming Expert by Artur Manasaryan, the supplier’s Head of Business Development, earlier in the year.
The result of being under the umbrella, he notes, adds vast expertise and resources that others simply don’t possess. A potentially critical headstart that places Pascal Gaming in a great place to swell its presence across legacy and new markets.
Upon being pressed on what lies next for the developer across LatAm, a focus wasn’t just placed on desired markets, but also of the importance of tailoring gaming titles to fit the necessary cultural preferences.
“Our next steps are to strengthen Brazil further and grow in LatAm. We are also tailoring titles for local preferences, like our animal slot series built especially for LatAm players,” Mnaskanian adds.
“We plan to continue delivering games with cultural themes, quick sessions, and strong jackpot features, which fit local player behaviour.”
