When asked about what players can expect to see from SYNOT Games in the year ahead, Executive Director, Ivan Kodaj, pinpointed four goals that the company has set out to achieve in 2022, revealing that “players are still asking for new content”.

At this year’s CasinoBeats Summit in Malta, Kodaj sat down with SlotBeats’ Business Journalist, Mollie Chapman, to discuss the studios’ latest slot release, Masters of Eclipse and which markets it’s looking to break into over the next 18 months.

Going through the four goals set by the company for its 2022 roadmap, he said: “One of them was to bring to players new game features and new game mechanics; the second was to keep producing classic slots because they are still loved by players and they are playing them a lot; the third of them was to introduce seasonal things because they were missing in our portfolio; and the fourth was to start producing more games because players are still asking for new content.

“It will be a mixture of everything.”

On the slot title, Kodaj explained: “Masters of Eclipse is one of the slot games with new mechanics. The game is about wild features, meaning expanding wilds, random wilds, blocks of wilds… wilds everywhere.

“The game has a x5,000 maximum exposure, so I think players can enjoy the game very well. It’s based on the battle of man and beast in a bit of a dark graphic theme, but I think they will really love it.”

Pressed on which markets SYNOT looks to enter in the near future, Kodaj revealed that the developer “is constantly looking to enter new regulating markets,” highlighting its recent licence approval by the Hellenic Gaming Commission in Greece.

He added: “We will be starting our games – I think in the coming months – in Switzerland, in Bulgaria, we’re aiming for Ontario for sure, and the US, as with the rest of the regulated companies – so New Jersey and Pennsylvania, these are our aims for maybe the upcoming 18 months.”
