As we get ever-closer to going live with our second CasinoBeats Slot Festival, and the first of four in 2021, Tamas Kusztos, head of sales and account management at Kalamba Games, took time out of his busy schedule to share his thoughts on the company’s involvement at the Festival and what viewers can expect to see in its virtual showroom.
SlotBeats: With our much-anticipated Slots Festival one week away, which games are you looking forward to showcasing at your virtual showroom?
Tamas Kusztos: We are really looking forward to showing off a number of our titles including Ducks till Dawn, Sadie Swift, Blazing Bull, Sky Hunters, Joker Max, Goblins & Gemstones, Crystal Cavern and Maui Millions.
Attendees will be able to participate in competitions featuring our games that we will be running at the event. It is a great range of titles, and there are prizes to be won so look out for it.
SB: Given ICE’s absence in February, how essential would you say events such as these are for connecting the industry and generating leads?
TK: Obviously, we miss seeing all our friends and collaborators but in the meantime, it is on us to adapt and find new ways to connect and build relationships with both existing and potential partners.
We do that through a range of virtual methods, not least by running our slots tournaments at festivals such as this. We are also going to expand on that idea in the coming months as we start running our own tournament offering just for our B2B partners, so watch this space.
SB: Looking to 2021 – what’s going to be hot in gaming development this year? What kind of experience are players looking for right now, and how do your games cater to current demand?
TK: Essentially, on many levels, gaming is about choice. Choice for the player – where they play, what they play and how they play; choice for the operator – which content they serve, where they serve it etc. That is something we’re looking at very closely on a day-to-day basis and this will be evident throughout the Kalamba games catalogue.
From HyperBet, featured in many of our games where players can choose their volatility profile, through to titles such as Sadie Swift, and Goblins and Gemstones where there is a distinct choice as to the kind of experience players want to have.
SB: Kalamba has recently increased its focus on player engagement tools. For example, you have just launched the Big Winners’ Hall of Fame. Could you tell us more about that and what else we can expect from Kalamba in 2021?
TK: Sure, the Hall of Fame is built on the successful Kalamba Bullseye Big Win replay platform, and it is a great way for players to get familiar with the feeling of winning big. Our data shows us that players who have engaged with Big Win replay have significantly better engagement metrics compared to the control group.
It is also going to be a way to provide a platform for partners to promote their own Big Wins too. The Hall of Fame can be found here and people can visit our showroom at the SlotsFestival or get in touch if they want to find out more.
