SlotBeats Rhymes and Life – Daniel Natvig: ‘The festival turned into one big party’

SlotBeats Rhymes and Life takes you through the sounds of the industry, not missing a beat as we bring you the soundtrack that has made the industry tick.

In this edition, we spoke to Daniel Natvig, Head of Community at Kingbonus, who revealed the wide spectrum of his soundtrack from 50 Cent to Sum 41.

First Gig You Ever Attended

The first concert I ever went to was Karpe Diem at a club in Norway called KICK. I was pretty young, and seeing them in such a small venue was insane. The crowd was loud, the whole place was shaking, and it was the first time I really felt that “live music hits different” moment. Honestly, moments like that are probably why I enjoy the energy on stream so much today the mix of chaos, noise, and fun vibes just stuck with me.

SB: Best Live Performance You’ve Ever Seen

The best performance I’ve ever seen was 50 Cent at Quart Festivalen in Kristiansand. I was young and was a massive 50 Cent fan, so seeing him live felt unreal. The crowd knew every song, and the whole festival turned into one big party. It’s the kind of energy I always try to bring into the Kingbonus streams too is that “everyone is having fun together” vibe. If I could bottle that concert and use it on stream, I absolutely would.

SB: Artist Who Can Do No Wrong

For me, that’s definitely Volbeat. They never disappoint. Their live shows have insane control, tight sound, and this huge presence that just fills any venue. Even if you’re not into rock, you end up vibing. On stream, even the chat goes crazy when I put on Volbeat in the background. It’s impossible not to get pulled into it. They’re rock-solid every single time, on stage or in my headset.

SB: Your Most Cherished Album

I don’t really have one “ultimate” album, but one I keep coming back to is Does This Look Infected? by Sum 41. It’s loud, nostalgic, a bit chaotic. Perfect for certain moods. Honestly, it’s one of the albums I sometimes put on quietly when I’m streaming for Kingbonus. It keeps the pace up, and the viewers always vibe with it. It’s a timeless pop-punk classic that just works no matter what.

SB: Song That Always Makes Your Gym Playlist

“Londisa” by Erlend Ropstad is always on my gym playlist. It has this steady drive that’s perfect for lifting or getting into focus mode. I use it before starting a long

Kingbonus streams too as it just gets the brain locked in. It’s not the crazy hype type of song, but it sneaks into your rhythm and suddenly you’re flying through reps… or flying through deposits on stream.

SB: An Underrated Artist More People Should Know About

Tobias Rahim for sure. Super underrated, great songwriting, and a totally unique vibe. Every time I play his songs off-stream I’m always thinking: “How is this guy not way bigger?” He’s one of those artists you show someone once, and suddenly they’re hooked. He definitely deserves more recognition than he gets.
