Artificial intelligence could be the next stepping stone for Slotjava to continue making waves across another key European region, noted Chief Operation Officer, Christian Lowe.
Following a three-part special that honed in on the intricacies, regulatory challenges and future predictions related to the Italian market, a shift of almost 900 miles west (as the crow flies) will form the focal point of this latest deep-dive.
Beginning on SlotBeats, with further editions to be published on SBC News as well as the newly-launched iGaming Expert, Lowe also elaborates on a very familiar challenge that has been evident across numerous jurisdictions. Enhanced regulation.
However, before jumping into the nitty gritty of the topic at hand, Lowe begins in familiar fashion. This, similarly to that of its Mediterranean sister brand, is of an impending anniversary.
With a milestone five-year celebration nearing, he begins by highlighting the significant accomplishments that have been witnessed during this time.
“We are extremely happy with how we have retained our visitors,” he says. “Visitors are returning to our site at an extremely high frequency compared to industry standards.
“…the difference in experience will be very noticeable compared to your competition if you put your focus on optimisation”
“It really proves that our product is fulfilling the needs of our audience. I also think that the brand we have created for SlotJava and ‘Mr Java’ is a strong and recognisable one which helps the retention rates as well.”
As retention quite rightly remains a critical component of operations across the industry, the difficulty of truly setting yourself apart has never been more crucial as well as incredibly difficult.
Continuing the conversation, and with this previous thought in mind, Lowe addresses a selection of the critical strategies that have been implemented to ensure that Slotjava.es remains a key reference point for players.
“I would like to point out the focus we had around the speed and user experience of our product,” he comments.
“Mainly because our free to play slot machine product is much more demanding in terms of resources than a standard casino review affiliate website.
“It also means that the difference in experience will be very noticeable compared to your competition if you put your focus on optimisation of the performance of the product.”
Despite witnessing a continued uptick, resting on your laurels could well spell ultimate doom for many organisations. This is especially true with the current era as regulation tightens on a global basis.
“The issue is that sometimes the regulator takes the changes too far, intervening too much”
Spain has certainly not been immune to this trend, with a number of obstacles having been run into during a half decade of operation.
“Working in a regulated landscape always pushes you to stay on top of the latest information from the regulator and to ensure that you always stay compliant,” Lowe continues on the most demanding of these headwinds.
“The biggest challenges we have experienced has been related to the regulation changing for our product, forcing us to change our product to a less attractive one from a user perspective.
“I don’t mean that regulation is bad, Measures implemented by the regulator are usually well thought through and supported by data and have a long-term positive effect on the overall wellbeing of the iGaming ecosystem.
“The issue is that sometimes the regulator takes the changes too far, intervening too much with the product and that can result in a push of players playing the regulated system to the unregulated market.
“We have experienced this and that has been the biggest challenge, staying compliant but still trying to be as competitive as possible. Given the retention rates, I think we have succeeded.”
“We are currently working hard on the latest AI trend and trying to find good use cases which we can implement”
Witnessing an increasing performance in spite of a potentially testing regulatory environment is certainly no mean feat. Lowe progresses along these lines to touch upon how Slotjava has managed to adapt to changes in the market.
“It has basically been a balance game about ensuring 100% compliance with existing regulation while still maintaining a product that is competitive,” he states.
“That has obviously been the biggest adaptation, and I think we have managed this very well. The other thing has been to stay on top with trends and ensure that your visitors receive the latest content available in the relevant niche.
“This has not been an issue as we have a very dedicated team who are truly passionate about iGaming and follow everything in the sector very closely. This has ensured that we always had a very relevant and fresh product.”
Amid the constant evolution and progression of online casino, it is imperative that you continue to press ahead and look to take advantage of any opportunities that could heighten your appeal to players, in addition to standing yourself head and shoulders above the competition.
This lies front and centre of Slotjava’s minds, with making full use of one particular tech that has dominated the industry agenda in recent times the primary target.
“You should expect more product development,” Lowe concludes. “We are currently working hard on the latest AI trend and trying to find good use cases which we can implement on Slotjava.
“Currently our most interesting use case for AI is on free to play slot machines and all the data points that slot machines have. We are looking into how we can present this in different ways to our visitors to enhance their experience of Slotjava.”
