THE SYMBOLS

Low value symbols come in the form of the high end of a deck of cards, from 10 through to Ace. These symbols can offer between x0.5 and x5 the player’s stake, depending on the amount of winning combinations that land on a single spin.

Next up, toadstools and ale depict the medium value symbols, offering between x1 and x8 the player’s preferred bet.

High value symbols are represented by shamrocks, wishing wells and horseshoes. If the right amount of paying combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x1.5 and x30.

Wild leprechauns can drop into play, substituting for all symbols other than the pot of gold scatter. As the game begins, players can customise these wild symbols by choosing which leprechaun character, out of three, that they want to appear as the wild.

Finally, pot of gold scatters are available, triggering the leprechaun’s trail bonus game mode if three land on the same spin.

THE DETAILS

When triggering the leprechaun’s trail game mode, which was detailed in Yggdrasil’s March Roadshow, players are presented with a table of prizes that range from x7 on level one to x5,000 on the 15th level.

Each prize level contains a number of arrows, alongside the multiplied bet amount prize. The table will randomly spin through every option on each level, starting on level one which has four arrows and the x7 prize.

If the table spins to reveal an arrow, the player will be taken to the next level, offering higher prizes. Levels one to three have four arrows, giving players a four in five chance of advancing to the next level, and a one in five chance of landing the low-value multiplied bet amount prize. Levels two and three offer x10 and x15.

The next three levels offer three arrows next to multiplied bet amount prizes of x20, x25 and x30.

Levels seven, eight and nine showcase two arrows next to the prizes, offering x40, x50 and x70 respectively. Alternatively, when players land on these prize levels they can choose to activate four, five or seven win spins respectively, rather than receiving the prize amount.

Win spins guarantee a win on each spin and will apply a x5 multiplier to enhance each guaranteed win.

Prize levels 10 and 11 offer prize values of x100 or x150 while only one arrow sits beside each prize amount, allowing for a one in two chance of advancing. Again, players can choose to take 10 or 15 win spins instead of each prize amount.

Prize levels 12, 13 and 14 offer x200, x400 and x1,000, while giving players the chance to gain one, two or five picks in the pick me bonus game mode respectively.

The pick me bonus game mode sees players select from a number of treasure chests with hidden prizes that contain multiplied bet amounts between x50 and x2,000 the player’s bet.

If players make it to level 15 on the trail, they will be awarded the game’s top prize of x5,000.

WHAT THEY SAY

Stuart McCarthy, Head of Product & Programs at Yggdrasil, stated: “Our work with 4ThePlayer sees them generate top-performing games with a variety of engaging themes, mechanics, and volatilities.

“We’ve enjoyed a fantastic partnership with them since the very early days of the YG Masters initiative, and the success we’ve had together is evident in all our games.”

Henry McLean, Co-Founder and Commercial & Marketing Director at 4ThePlayer, said: “We always create games with a purpose, and this game was created as a direct response to player feedback and industry demand on the topic of ‘massive marketing max wins’; that huge wins are unobtainable from a player perspective and a huge liability challenge from an operator’s perspective, especially in highly regulated markets such as the UK.”
