Low value symbols are depicted as playing card royals, with Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces. These symbols can offer between x0.5 and x5 the chosen bet, depending on the number of winning combinations that appear on a single spin.
Meanwhile, purple Ankhs, blue emblems and green eyes depict the medium value symbols, offering between x0.5 and x15 the player’s preferred stake.
High value symbols come in the form of male and female Egyptian characters. If the right number of winning combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x1 and x25 the player’s bet.
Pyramid scatters can drop into play, triggering eight free spins when three land on the same spin.
Bonus scarab symbols are available, displaying monetary values, jackpot prizes or ‘boost’ text. Landing six or more scarabs on the same spin will take players to the hold and win bonus feature.
Finally, wild text symbols can drop into play, substituting for all symbols other than the scarabs and pyramid scatters.
THE DETAILS
If a scarab symbol drops into play with ‘boost’ text during the base or bonus game mode, it will award the prizes from any other scarab symbols on the board during the same spin. These boost symbols only appear on the third reel.
When taken to the hold and win bonus game mode, players are given three spins in which only scarab symbols can drop into play. Each symbol that does drop in will reset the number of spins to three.
Above each reel is a modifier reel, which can reveal enhancements for all scarabs appearing in its column. These enhancements include multipliers from x5 to x10, additions from +2 to +10 and ‘gold’ bonuses, which turn all scarabs in its reel golden.
Collecting gold scarab beetles throughout the hold and win game mode can award jackpot prizes, with two, three, four or five gold beetles in one feature awarding prizes of mini (x20), minor (x50), major (x100) or grand (x5,000).
During the free spins game mode triggered by pyramid scatters, there is a higher chance of activating both the boost feature and the hold and win game mode.
