SYMBOLS
Grand Melee’s low value symbols are represented by playing cards from Jack to Ace. These symbols pay out x0.2 to x1.5 the player’s wager, depending on the combinations which land on the reels.
High value symbols are represented by blue, green, purple, red and gold knights. Depending on the combinations which appear on the reels, these symbols can pay between x0.5 to x10 the player’s bet.
The game also has a sticky respin feature which can occur at any time. Three scatter symbols – symbol upgrade, symbol expansion and game area expansion – can randomly appear during this feature.
Two swords with a crown between them is the game’s bonus symbol which awards five or more free spins if five or more bonus symbols are present, filling up the bonus meter at the bottom of the reels. It can also be triggered during the sticky respin feature.
DETAILS
The sticky respin feature will select a random base game symbol above the reels. If five or more symbols are on the reels that match the selected sticky symbol, those symbols will become sticky and stay in place and the reel will respin.
During the feature, if any new symbols appear that match the sticky symbol, they will also stay sticky. The feature will continue respinning until no more new symbols appear that don’t match the sticky symbol. The highest total win is then calculated and paid out to the player before the reel resets back to the base game.
If a symbol upgrade scatter appears, it will transform all instances of the current sticky symbol into more valuable sticky symbols. If the symbol expansion scatter appears, it will transform into the current sticky symbol and expand vertically to cover the entire reel with sticky symbols.
If the game area expansion scatter appears on the reels, it will transform into the current sticky and an additional row to the bottom of the reels that will contain random symbols, expanding the game to seven rows for the duration of the sticky respin feature.
The bonus symbol can also be used as the sticky symbol during the sticky respin feature, awarding free spins to the player at the end of the feature and every time the bonus meter at the bottom of the reels is filled. Respins will continue until no more bonus symbols appear.
