Mighty Fish: Blue Marlin is a slot that doesn’t use paylines, cluster or scatter wins. While the base game board is 5×3-sized, an additional top horizontal row sits above the board.
On this top additional reel, blue marlin fish symbols can appear, displaying a counter value of up to 10 that represents how many spins the fish symbol will stay in its place for.
While these fish symbols appear on the top row, gold coin cash symbols will appear in the 5×3 board below them. These coins will display monetary values from x1 to x10 the player’s wager.
If gold coins drop into a reel that has a blue marlin sat above it, values will be collected by the fish.
Although this will not be awarded to the player straight away, special cash out symbols can appear on the reels to cause these blue fish values to be won.
Scuba diver cash out symbols and trawler cash out symbols can appear on the reels, also displaying counter values that represent how many spins it will remain on the board for.
Once the scuba diver cash out symbol’s counter value reaches zero, it will collect any blue fish values that sit above its reel, as will the trawler cash out symbols.
However, scuba diver cash out symbols will also add the value of any cash symbols that appear within its space on the reels to the collected fish values. Meanwhile, white trawlers will collect all value in its reel that appear on its final spin.
Furthermore, jackpot coins can also drop into play, displaying jackpot prizes of mini (x20), minor (x50), major (x100) or mega (x200). These coins can be collected by blue fish symbols above the reels and won in the same way that cash coin symbols are won.
Scatter starfish symbols are available, triggering the free spins feature when three or more appear on the same spin. Landing three, four or five scatters on the same spin will award 10, 20 or 30 free spins, respectively.
In the free spins, all blue fish symbols that appear on the additional top row are guaranteed to award their collected values when the free spins draw to a close, although they will only collect coin values for the number of spins that are displayed by its counter value.
Additionally, multiplier symbols can appear on the 5×3 grid in the free spins, enhancing any blue fish values that sit above them with multiplier values from x2 to x10.
Extra counter symbols can also appear, adding more spins to the blue fish counter values so that they have a chance to collect more coins.
Finally, collect to infinity symbols are available in the free spins feature, causing any blue fish symbols above it to collect values for the entire duration of the game mode.
