THE SYMBOLS
Low value symbols come in the form of playing card suits, with clubs, diamonds, spades and hearts able to drop into play. These symbols can provide wins between x0.1 and x0.5 the player’s wager, depending on the number of paying combinations that land on a single spin.
Moving up the paytable, syringes, hands, potions and brains depict the medium value symbols, offering between x0.2 and x0.9 the player’s bet.
High value symbols are represented by purple and red mutant heads. If the right number of identical symbols land on a winning payline, these symbols can offer between x0.3 and x4 the player’s wager.
Switch scatters are available, triggering the free spins feature when three or more land on the reels. Landing three, four, five or six scatters on the same spin will award seven, nine, 11 or 13 free spins, respectively.
Two types of wild symbols can appear in this game, appearing on all reels other than the first. Standard W wild will drop into play to substitute for all symbols in the game other than switch scatters, while mutant wilds will expand across full reels to do so.
THE DETAILS
This game uses cascading wins, meaning that winning symbols will disappear after providing their payout prizes, making way for new symbols to drop in from the top of the reels.
Each time a cascade occurs, a win multiplier above the reels will increase by a value of one. This multiplier will enhance any subsequent wins that occur but resets in between spins.
Additionally, an infection feature can occur randomly in both the base and free spins game modes, causing random low value symbols to transform into high value mutant head symbols.
For the free spins game mode, the win multiplier will not reset in between spins. The game mode cannot be retriggered as scatters do not appear in the free spins.
Players can buy access to a random number of free spins from seven to 13 for the price of x120 their stake, while also being able to increase their stake by 50% – without impacting paytable prizes – to gain double the chance of expanding wilds and scatters appearing on the reels.
