Released through Yggdrasil’s YG Masters programme, Boomerang Games has players swimming with killer whales in its latest underwater slot collaboration with ReelPlay, Orca’s Wild Bonanza.

Low value symbols are represented by playing card royals, from Jack through to Ace. These symbols can offer between x0.12 and x0.6 the player’s wager, depending on the number of winning combinations that land on a single spin.
Starfish, jellyfish, turtles, octopuses and dolphins depict the high value symbols, offering between x0.2 and x1.6 the player’s bet.
Meanwhile, wild orcas can also appear, substituting for all symbols other than the shell wilds and treasure chest scatters.
Shell wilds that drop into play have the ability to change other symbols into orca wilds, depending on the game’s ‘contagious wild level’.
Finally, landing three treasure chest scatters on the same spin will trigger five bonus free spins.
THE DETAILS
Throughout the game, a ‘WinMulti’ multiplier sits above the reel set, starting at x1 and increasing by one with each wild that drops onto the board.
This multiplier is then applied to any wins that are formed on the same spin, resetting in-between spins. During the free spins feature, this multiplier will not reset for the duration of the bonus game mode.
Additionally, each spin sees a ‘contagious wild level’ change beside the reel set. This starts with one symbol and increases with each spin until reaching a maximum of three.
On the first spin, the ‘contagious wild level’ will cause all dolphin symbols that appear next to special shell wilds to turn into wilds themselves. On the second level, this can happen with both dolphins and octopuses.
Meanwhile, on the third level, dolphins, octopuses and turtles can turn into wilds if they appear next to shell wilds.
This ‘contagious wild level’ resets back to level one after the third level spin has been played.
In the free spins game mode, a fourth contagious wild level is available, in which the jellyfish can be turned into wilds by the shell symbol.
Meanwhile, only free spins that result in a win will be counted towards the five free spins that are awarded.
