THE DETAILS
During the game, if there are still Primate Wild upgrades to be unlocked, Gold Coins may appear in the bottom right-hand corner of any symbol on the reels. If they land on the same spin as a Primate Wild, then they are collected and contribute to the Progress Bar.
Additionally, when the Primate Wild lands on the reels but no win occurs, he may smash the reels to remove all low paying symbols, allowing top-paying symbols to fall in their place and triggering a guaranteed win.
If the player collects 30 Gold Coins, they unlock the first upgrade, whilst 60 unlocks the second and 90 the third. Until all three of the possible Primate Wild upgrades have been unlocked, the Progress Bar appears to the right of the reels and shows the progression of the collection of Gold Coins.
Once all three of the possible upgrades have been unlocked, the Progress Bar turns into a sixth reel, on which only high-paying symbols may land.
