THE SYMBOLS
Low value symbols come in the form of the high end of a deck of cards, with 10 through to Ace. If the right amount of matching combinations land on a single spin, these symbols will offer a respective payout.
Medium value symbols include whiskey jars, christmas presents and candy cane handcuffs. These symbols will also offer a respective payout depending on the amount of matching combinations that fall on one go.
Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer depicts the high value symbol, offering between x5 and x40 the player’s stake when a certain amount of paying combinations land on the same spin.
Wild santa symbols can also drop into play, substituting for all symbols other than the bonus scatter.
Police car scatters are also included, triggering the free spins feature if three or more scatters land on the same spin.
THE DETAILS
When wild santa and Rudolph symbols form a winning combination, a random multiplier is applied to all successful paylines on that spin. During the base game this multiplier can be between x2 and x5, but during the free spins it can be between x2 and x25.
Throughout the base game, random standard symbols can appear with special sub-symbol embellishments that appear as frothy beer mugs. These sub-symbols will be attributed to a meter above the reels, in a bid to activate a checkpoint or trigger the advent calendar game mode.
This meter resets with every spin, so getting enough sub-symbols to activate the checkpoints allows players to keep their place on the meter and gain a better chance of achieving the advent calendar game mode.
With the advent calendar bonus game, players must select chronologically from 25 different doors that reveal prizes such as multiplied bet amounts or the free spins bonus feature.
Players get to advance from door to door every time they access this feature, but can only open one door at a time. Once players have reached door 25, which always offers the free spins bonus game mode, they will be taken to this final door very time they access this feature again.
Landing three, four or five police scatters will award five, 10 or 20 free spins. The free spins reel-set starts out as 5×3, but if players can land special key symbols then they will unlock a special fourth row, and another after that if repeated.
This allows the free spins feature to have a maximum reel-set of 5×5. Each key symbol that drops in will also award an additional two free spins, as will any bonus soap symbols that land on the reels.
Randomly activated during the base game, the happy hour feature causes an abundance of sub-symbol beer mugs to land on the reels, increasing the player’s chances of advancing to the advent calendar.
Furthermore, players can buy some of these bonus features for the price of a significantly increased bet.
