THE DETAILS

Free Spins are generated by landing Scatter Symbols – landing three symbols awards 10 Free Spins and one extra splitting symbol, whilst four award 13 Free Spins and two extra Splitting Symbols, five awards 16 Free Spins and three extra Splitting Symbols, and finally, by landing six, players will receive 19 Free Spins and four extra Splitting Symbols.

When playing the Free Spins Mode, the feature can be expanded by securing between three and six Scatter Symbols, whilst the maximum amount of these symbols that can be landed is 10. Extra spins can only be won if all available symbols act as a Splitting Symbols.

Three extra Free Spins and one extra Splitting Symbol can be won by landing three Scatters, whilst by landing four, players will gain six extra Free Spins and one extra Symbol, five will award nine extra Spins and three Symbols, and lastly, six will award 12 extra spins and four Symbols.

During the base game, Scatter Symbols will only appear on reels one, three and five, and when all three are present, the Shimmer feature will be activated first, after which up to three Scatter Symbols – or potentially none – will be split into two.

Any random symbol can be chosen to act as a Splitting Symbol, with the exception of Scatters, at the beginning of each spin. Whenever Splitting Symbols hit the reels they will spit into two, potentially increasing payways from 243 to 7,776.

Furthermore, new symbols can cascade into view to refill empty positions on the reels with the potential for new wins – this will be repeated if new wins are continually achieved, and only the highest winning combination per symbol is paid.

Finally, win multipliers increase by one every time symbols cascade, resetting before the start of every spin.

WHAT THEY SAY

“Things become popular for a reason; when something strikes a chord with a fanbase, they want more of it,” said Johan Törnqvist, CEO of Play’n GO. “But it’s not just about repeating the same thing in different packaging.

“It’s important to introduce new experiences within the framework of what players love. You don’t always need to reinvent the wheel, but it’s important to keep things fresh. The Shimmering Woods will be released in multiple jurisdictions from today.”
