Roald Dahl’s charming chocolatier takes centre stage in Light & Wonder’s latest slot release, transforming land-based hit Willy Wonka: World of Wonka into a digital title using IP from Warner Bros’ 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.

Low value symbols come in the form of gumdrops, gummy bears, hard candy and lollipops. If the right number of winning combinations land on a single spin, these symbols can offer between x0.05 and x0.4 the player’s bet.
With characters from the film depicting the rest of the standard symbols, Violet Bulregarde, Mike TV and Veruca Salt depict the medium value symbols, offering between x0.1 and x1.2 the chosen wager.
Charlie Bucket and his grandfather represent the high value symbols alongside Willy Wonka himself, offering between x0.2 and x2 the player’s bet.
Gobstopper scatters can also appear, triggering the spinning wheel feature when three or more appear on the same spin. When only two gobstoppers land on the reels, a special respin feature is activated to give players another chance of landing the third scatter.
Finally, wild Oompa Loompas can appear, substituting for all symbols other than the scatter.
THE DETAILS
Throughout the game, an special Oompa Loompa feature can be triggered randomly, causing the reels to increase in size to either 8×4 or 10×4 while increasing the number of paylines.
This will cause the grid’s payline grids to be split into either two 4×4 or 5×4 grids to allow for easier payline wins, with all payouts being multiplied by x2. Wilds are guaranteed to drop into play, appearing expanded across full reels.
When triggering the spinning wheel feature, landing four, five or six scatters will also trigger one spin of the reel but will also provide an instant payout of x10, x20 or x50 the total bet.
Through spinning the wheel, players can win either multiplied bet amount prizes from x5 to x80 or access to the free spins, chocolate river and ‘you get nothing’ game modes.
The wheel can award either eight, 10 or 12 free spins, and in these spins the reels will expand in size while 2×2-sized Willy Wonka symbols can drop into play.
In the chocolate river game mode, players are presented with eight cupcakes that hold hidden prizes behind them. Players can get up to seven prizes in the feature, each ranging from x1 to x20 their stake. The feature ends once players select a ‘fall in’ cupcake.
If players manage to gain all seven picks without finding the ending cupcake, their wins will be multiplayer by a random value between x2 and x10.
For the ‘you get nothing’ feature, players are presented with three hidden prizes and get one pick to win a multiplied bet amount value between x100 and x400 the player’s wager.
Additionally, after each awarded spinning wheel feature, players will enter the golden ticket game mode, in which they are awarded a chocolate bar that contains prizes from x1 to x10 the player’s bet, nothing or the golden ticket prize worth x500.
