THE SYMBOLS
Low value symbols in the game come in the form of the high end of a deck of cards, with Queen through to Ace. These symbols can offer between x0.1 and x0.4 the player’s bet, depending on the amount of matching combinations on a single spin.
Next up, medium value symbols are represented by severed pony tails, hands holding footballs and hatted scalps. If the right amount of combinations land in one go then these symbols can offer between x0.15 and x0.5.
Police, businessmen, cheerleaders, football players and truckers depict the high value symbols, offering between x0.2 and x2 the player’s preferred bet.
Finally, brain scatter symbols can also land on the reels, triggering a free spins feature if three or more land on the reels at once.
THE DETAILS
Zombie aPOPalypse’s Multipop mechanic makes it a title with cascading wins. This means symbols on a winning combination will disappear to make way for new symbols, increasing the win potential of an already successful spin.
For this title, every winning symbol’s place on the reels gains a multiplier border, enhancing the cell for any additional cascading wins that occur in the same place.
With each consecutive cascading win, these multipliers will increase by one to multiply the value of any winning combinations that land in that cell. The multipliers will disappear when the cascading symbols no longer result in a win.
If these multipliers make it up to x5, they will no longer increase with the next cascading win, but will become infectious and cause other cells to have multipliers.
Landing three, four or five scatters will award 10, 12 or 15 free spins. Once these have been triggered, players have the option to gamble their free spins to obtain a few more.
To do this, players must spin a wheel to see if they land on a value higher than the spins they had already won. However, the wheel can land on zero, causing the player to lose the entirety of their free turns.
During the free spins feature, the reel set expands to become 5×5 while cell multipliers can increase all the way to x10. These multipliers stay active during the entirety of the free spins in this game mode.
Players have the ability to buy the free spins bonus for the price of a significantly increased bet.
