Slots are continuing to be the top-performing iGaming offering across online casinos in Africa and Latin America, according to a joint report from 1spin4win and Blask.

The game provider and the analytics platform conducted a report on game performance and player behaviour across the two regions, including Argentina, Brazil, Ghana, Mexico, Nigeria and South Africa. 

Real-time data on game placement and player demand is used in the report, as well as operator insights to see what content resonates with players, as the research was part of 1spin4win’s broader expansion strategy.

For Africa, slots accounted for 71% of the top 30 games featured on online casino lobbies, while this figure was 67% of the top 30 with iGaming operators in Latin America.

The joint 1spin4win-Blask report also identified that titles placed in online casino lobbies by operators aren’t always the games that players are looking for, as the research showed some of the most searched-for games are ‘not prominently featured or are missing from lobbies altogether’.

Ilya Batcherikov, Chief Product Officer at Blask, added: “By aggregating non-branded search data at scale, we help teams understand what players are actually looking for in each market — often before those trends become visible inside the product. 

“This allows operators to move from reactive content strategies to proactive ones, aligning supply with real-time demand and capturing value that would otherwise be missed.”
