BGaming has inked an agreement with the World Boxing Council (WBC) to unveil a new range of sport-themed slots.
The first of the titles due for release at the end of May, called WBC Ring of Riches, aims to bring ‘the next level of entertainment’ according to a joint statement, leveraging the popularity of the sport of boxing on a global scale.
Furthermore, the iGaming content provider’s slot titles will bring together professional athletes and slot enthusiasts on one platform.
Marina Ostrovtsova, director of BGaming, commented: “BGaming is honored to be partnering with WBC, the major name in professional boxing. If we take a look back in history, the greatest fights are always accompanied by the casinos’ atmosphere.
“This is classic. And now, with everyone going digital, this is the perfect time to come up with a new classic. We have been in the industry quite a while now and this is fascinating, yet challenging to introduce sports into a slot game.”
WBC Ring of Riches will encompass a mix of ‘thrilling moments’ of boxing bouts to the ‘pure excitement’ of big winnings.
The upcoming release centres around the mysterious fighter, the slot’s protagonist, transporting players to a virtual boxing ring and presenting them with the opportunity to win the WBC belt via a range of features.
“Boxing and iGaming have much more in common than it seems, I feel very happy with this outstanding alliance,” added Mauricio Sulaimán, WBC president. “Being part of a huge entertainment industry is motivating as we are united with passion and excitement.
“Now it’s time to give everybody a chance to feel like a WBC champion! We’re very delighted to take part in the process of creating a game that, no doubt, will be appreciated by many boxing lovers.”
