‘Difficult 2019’ leads to new NetGaming Europe CEO

NetGaming Europe AB has announced Robert Andersson as the new President and CEO as Marcus Teilman leave his position with immediate effect

Andersson, 42, has a vast amount of experience in igaming and digital media with his most recent position as CEO of Enlabs and Catena Media.

The purpose of the change is stated to “create better conditions” for NetGaming to return to growth while maintaining profitability and generate shareholder value in the short and long term.

Newly appointed, NetGaming CEO, Andersson, said: “NetGaming is in an exciting position in a very dynamic market. It will be incredibly exciting to work with the team at NetGaming to accelerate growth and create the next chapter in NetGaming.”

NetGaming Chairman, Henrik Kvick believes the company is in need of “new energy” and change was needed after a “challenging 2019.”

Net Gaming released its financial results for 2019 last week, in which it reported a 23.1 per cent drop in annual revenue. There was a steep drop in profit with a 36.9 per cent drop in comparison to the previous year.

On the departure of Teilman, Kvick said: “Marcus has led NetGaming’s transformation from a small gaming operator to a leading player in lead generation. I and the entire Board thank Marcus for his time and great commitment to NetGaming and wish him all the best in the future.”

On Andersson’s appointment, Kvick believes they are getting someone who has had success in the industry. He said: “With Robert, we are getting a CEO who has successfully driven growth companies in our industry and built forward-looking and innovative organisations at a fast pace and with high execution power.

“Robert will capitalise on the great potential of lead generation globally and lead the Company back to organic growth.”
