GAMOMAT has expanded its Gaming for the Climate initiative by launching its fourth charitable slot release, Alexandria Fire.
The studio’s Gaming for the Climate campaign has been running since 2021, producing several slot releases that pledge portions of their revenue to non-profit organisations. Alexandria Fire, the campaign’s latest title, will provide donations to WeForest.
As Alexandria, a port city in Egypt, faces the threat of rising sea levels, WeForest helps to combat desertification and protect the environment and local communities by reducing carbon dioxide emissions and providing water aid.
Dietmar Hermjohannes, Founder of GAMOMAT, explained: “We’re incredibly proud to be growing our Gaming for the Climate initiative. Each year, we’ve enhanced the initiative by adding a game that is thematically linked to global initiatives fighting the climate crisis.
“This partnership is more than just business: the funds raised will support WeForest’s inspiring mission of ‘Making Earth Cooler’ by reducing carbon dioxide emissions worldwide. WeForest’s holistic approach has profoundly inspired both myself and our entire team, fueling our passion and commitment to this vital cause.”
The slot title incorporates GAMOMAT’s fire respins feature to offer enhanced wins that are backdropped by Alexandria and its famous Pharos of Alexandria monument.
Previous games involved in the Gaming for the Climate campaign include Drops of Water, which focused on providing water aid in India and Africa. The studio featured on an episode of Beyond the Reels to discuss the impact of this slot release.
