Since its launch in 2018, JetX has been a key player in the crash game category.
The firm has evolved the title, though, as crash games as a whole have undergone a significant transformation.
Speaking to iGaming Expert, SmartSoft’s CPO, Luka Kobalia, explains why giving players greater control over individual rounds became the driving force behind the redesign, as well as why transparency remains key within the iGaming space.
Kobalia stated: “Visibility has always been part of JetX. Crash games are social by nature: you play the same round as everyone else and see what happens in real time. In the new JetX, we redesigned that information to make it clearer and easier to follow.
“The live player panel shows who is in, who has cashed out and who is winning. Colour-graded multipliers and a history of up to 100 rounds let players read the game at a glance, and familiar currency symbols make every number instantly clear.
“When players can see what is happening, they feel confident in the game. That’s the role of visibility: it builds trust and adds to the shared tension of the round. The round history helps players follow the game and review what has happened, and every round remains independent.”
In terms of the key factors that are fuelling the evolution of the game, Kobalia pinpointed the four-bet functionality alongside advanced auto-play features as being key to the engagement of the crash game player.
Kobalia continued: “Crash players are strategic. They build their own approaches around the moment of cash-out, and many of them look for ways to play more than one strategy at the same time. Four bets per round let them do exactly that: one bet can secure an early win while another stays in for a higher multiplier, all within the same round. Expanded autoplay makes this easy to manage.
“It changes the round itself. With one bet, a round has one decision. With four, the same flight holds several cash-out moments, and every one of them is the player’s own call. Players can be cautious and bold within the same round, and the tension builds with each bet still in the air.
“The round stays as fast as players know it, but there is more happening in it and more for the player to decide. We didn’t make rounds longer. We made every round count for more.”
