Livespins has reinforced its position as a provider of streaming content in the iGaming industry by gaining a supplier license from the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). 

This will allow the Evolution-owned social content provider to offer its Bet with Streamers content to operators with an MGA license, allowing these operators to tap into the provider’s ‘socially-charged’ experiences. 

Michael Pedersen, Chief Commercial Officer at Livespins, stated: “We are thrilled to have secured a supplier licence from the MGA which is a testament to the quality of the product and experience we provide, and how it aligns with the regulator’s goals regarding responsible gambling.” 

Livespins allows players to “bet behind” their favourite streamers, influencers or brand ambassadors as they play, creating a social betting experience.

Evolution acquired the streaming content provider around one year ago, purchasing the platform for €5m as part of its ‘Product Leap’ strategy that saw the firm aim to offer “a new social category of live entertainment with a novel way of playing”.

“Malta licences are highly valued, allowing suppliers to engage with a large number of operators in markets across the world,” Pedersen added. 

“With our licence in hand, we will now be striking deals with tons of MGA operators and taking the Livespins revolution to even more markets across the world.” 

The brand has partnered with several slot studios to allow its streamers to broadcast themselves playing said suppliers’ games. The social streaming provider has gained slots from 1X2 Network, Onlyplay and Nolimit City in recent deals. 

Following the 1X2 Network deal, Pederson emphasised: “Great content is the foundation of any stream, and through this integration, our streamers can access thrilling slots and arcade games from 1X2gaming, Iron Dog Studio, Prospect Gaming and AD LUNAM.
