Localisation, Compliance & Innovation in Focus as SBC Summit Tbilisi 2025 Kicks Off

SBC Summit Tbilisi 2025 will open its doors to more than 2,000 industry executives, offering an agenda focused on multi-regional compliance, localised market strategies, and the latest breakthroughs across Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

Hosted in collaboration with SMH Global, the summit is designed to give delegates direct access to regional leaders who have long worked across Eastern Europe and Central Asia and understand the cultural intricacies and user preferences of these markets.

Delegates will explore how to tailor marketing to local audiences and ensure compliance across multiple jurisdictions. They will also look at how AI can be applied to create more engaging player experiences.

Other topics discussed will include the digital transformation of land-based casinos and the rise of cryptocurrency among Eastern European players, both creating fresh opportunities for operators.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC, said: “The gaming industry in Eastern Europe and Central Asia is flourishing. Of course, regulation plays a big part, but what strikes me most is the region’s strong appetite for innovation.

“That’s why we’ve dedicated the opening day to helping delegates understand how to make the most of these developments, so they leave with a clear idea of how to launch or grow their business here.”

Following an opening address from Rasmus Sojmark and Lasha Machavariani (Founder, SMH Global), the panel Eastern European Market Insights – Opportunities & Challenges in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape will explore how brands can localise their strategies to better connect with regional audiences. Panellists Adam Lamentowicz (GM, Superbet), Dainis Niedra (COO, Enlabs – Entain), and Liutauras Ulevičius (President, National Gambling and Gaming Business Association) will analyse case studies of brands that have successfully adapted to the region’s unique regulatory, operational, and consumer dynamics. The panel will be moderated by Tamar Badashvili (Deputy CEO, Aviator Studio).

Discussion will then turn to the challenges operators face in maintaining compliance across diverse regulatory frameworks in the panel Regulating the Future: Navigating Compliance in iGaming. The session will feature Milica Delevic (Co-Founder & Head of Legal, DeleWhite), Ilya Machavariani (CEO & Senior Partner, 4H Agency), Andreas Ditsche (CEO, iGaming.com) and Giorgi Tsamalaidze (CLO, Random Systems Georgia), with moderation by Quirino Mancini (Partner / Director, WH Italy). Panellists will examine key compliance issues across Europe and Eurasia, with a particular focus on taxation, GDPR, and responsible gambling laws.

The session The AI Evolution: Personalising Gaming Experiences at Scale will see the region’s leading operators discuss how AI is transforming the player experience. Irakli Davarashvili (CEO & Co-Founder, Promofy.ai), Rafael Kobalyan (Head of Technology, Vbet), Denis Kosinsky (COO, NuxGame), Gagi Ninoshvili (Head of Casino Products, betlive.com) will share case studies of successful AI implementation in the betting industry, with insights on how it can help operators create personalised offers and enhance safer gambling measures.

Building on the earlier discussion of regulatory challenges, attention will also turn to the Caucasus — a region positioned at the crossroads of major growth markets and fast emerging as an iGaming hub. The panel Unlocking the Potential of the Caucasus Region – A Rising iGaming Hub will feature Giorgi Gvenetadze (CCO, Flutter CEE), Ella Hakobyan (Legal Counsel, Totogaming), Akaki Meladze (Co-founder, Singular), Varlam Sakhvadze (Head of CRM Department, betlive.com), and Ivan Kurochkin (Partner & Head of Eastern Europe Desk, 4H Agency) as they explore key trends, market outlooks, and how the region can expand its operations into Central Asia and the Middle East.

Also featured on the opening day are two sessions dedicated to land-based and online gaming innovation. Brick & Beyond: The Role of Land-Based Casinos Today and Tomorrow will explore how traditional venues in Eastern Europe can adapt to shifting consumer behaviour and increased competition from digital alternatives. Meanwhile, Cryptocurrency Adoption in iGaming – Balancing Risks & Rewards will look at how crypto payments are streamlining payment processes and enhancing security while creating opportunities for brands to expand into new markets.
