Octoplay has aimed to meet ‘the highest possible standards’ for data security as the supplier celebrates receiving ISO 27001.
Through the licence, Octoplay has aims to assure both regulators and its commercial partners across the globe of its committed approach to security and compliance.
While the move solidifies Octoplay’s position in several regulated igaming sectors, the security licence will also allow the firm to expand into new markets where the certification is required.
Carl Ejlertsson, Octoplay CEO, said: “ISO 27001 is a fundamental step on our path to developing the industry’s leading gaming technology company.
“The certification makes securing regulatory approvals smoother and provides further objective assurance to our partners and regulators that we are committed to the highest of technical standards.”
ISO 27001 sets the standard for information security management systems, with certified companies believed to be competent in managing risks related to data protection, combating the rise of cyber-crime.
Octoplay joins a long list of suppliers and operators that have received ISO 27001 certification due to a solid display of security, following recent announcements from Evoplay and Push Gaming.
Meanwhile, Octoplay recently enhanced its European market position after forming a Malta-facing partnership with Rootz.
