Play’n GO has praised Veikkaus’ commitment to “a safe, sustainable industry” after agreeing to a strategic content partnership with the Finnish state-lottery.

The Swedish slot developer has offered a selection of proprietary slot releases to Finland’s state-owned operator, lauding the company’s stance on Bonus Buy games as neither Play’n GO or Veikkaus offer them.

Veikkaus players will benefit from the deal by gaining access to Play’n GO slots such as Book of Dead, Reactoonz and Gargantoonz for the first time.

Henrik Gedda, Head of Regional Sales, Nordics and Eastern Europe at Play’n GO, stated:“We’re pleased to team up with Veikkaus, a brand that is committed to a safe, sustainable industry, led by player entertainment, and who share our views on not offering Bonus Buy games.

“They are perfect partners for Play’n GO. We’re excited to see Veikkaus players interact with Book of Dead and Reactoonz for the first time, and we’re confident this partnership will prove to be very fruitful in the coming years.”

Earlier this year, Play’n GO launched a study into Swedish players’ opinions on Bonus Buy slot titles, suggesting that over half of the nation’s players would support a ban on these games.

The study found that 66 per cent of the public and 52 per cent of slot players in Sweden believe that Bonus Buy games ‘exploit vulnerable gamblers’, while 63 per cent of slot players believe they result in higher losses for players.
