Playson has hailed the Peruvian market as “one of the most promising in the Latin American region” after securing a supplier licence for the nation.

Obtaining the licence from Peru’s gambling regulator the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism, Playson will now be able to offer its complete catalogue of proprietary slot releases to online casino operators active in the South American nation.

This will see Peruvian slot players gain access to Playson titles such as Thunder Coins: Hold and Win, Energy Joker: Hold and Win, Clover Charm: Hit the Bonus and Fire Temple: Hold and Win for the first time.

Praising the studio’s recent expansion efforts, Tamas Kusztos, CCO at Playson, stated: “As we seek to bring more engaging experiences to players in new markets, obtaining a licence in Peru is a significant strategic move. The market stands out as one of the most promising in the LatAm region and we look forward to establishing a prominent position in the country.”

Securing the Peruvian licence follows a trend of igaming suppliers accessing the market after new laws were brought into place in February 2024 to regulate online casino gaming in the nation.

Since then, a plethora of slot developers have taken advantage of the newly-regulated market, with brands such as 7777 gaming, SYNOT Games, Spinomenal, Galaxsys and Booming Games all gaining accreditation from MINCETUR – Peru’s Gambling Authority.
