Playzia is set to bring a collection of Megaways slot releases to its partners after forming a collaboration with Big Time Gaming.
Gaining the rights to use BTG’s trademarked Megaways mechanic will allow Playzia to tap into one of the slot industry’s most well-known games series, producing slots that utilise variable reels and cascading symbols.
Vlad Modorcea, Chief Product Officer at Playzia, explained: “Megaways has been a cornerstone of slot gaming since Bonanza Megaways, captivating millions of players worldwide. We are honoured to join this exclusive club and are committed to delivering a top-tier gaming experience with our first Megaways release, T-Rex Treasure Hunt.
“Featuring cascading reels, up to 117,649 ways to win, and a massive max win of x10,000, this game is designed for thrill-seekers and high rollers alike.”
Set to launch within the first quarter of 2025, Playzia will debut its first Megaways slot release with T-Rex Treasure Hunt. This title will offer Megaways’ typical winways with up to 117,649 ways to win on every spin.
Dinosaur fossil scatters will also feature in this title, offering a free spins feature when four or more appear on the same spin. These symbols come equipped with a progressive multiplier that increases with each tumble.
A bonus dino fight feature can also be activated, with players engaging in dinosaur battles to earn enhanced multipliers.
Nik Robinson, CEO at Big Time Gaming, added: “The Megaways mechanic has proven to be a hit with players globally, and we are pleased that this latest agreement with Playzia will allow for even more innovative and original ideas to be added to the much-loved mechanic.”
The deal with BTG sees Playzia form its second rights deal in 2025, after announcing a partnership with the UK’s ITV Studios to launch a series of Love Island-themed games.
Modorcea recently sat down with SlotBeats to discuss the partnership with ITV, explaining that the upcoming series of Love Island games will be “truly different from the industry norm”.
