This week’s SBC Digital Payments conference and exhibition is set to feature a line-up of 40 of the world’s leading experts on payments and compliance issues in the betting and gaming industry.
The online event on Thursday 29 April will focus on the unique payments, identity verification, and compliance challenges faced by operators working in regulated markets, and explore topics rarely covered at general gambling industry or fintech conferences.
The agenda includes sessions on regulation, mitigating payment risks, the evolution of KYC, payment orchestration, how to improve AML procedures, and the best payments strategies for the US market. Each has an expert panel ready to offer insights from the perspectives of operators, gaming industry lawyers, and innovative fintech suppliers.
Those sharing their experiences of dealing with both the overarching issues and day-to-day problems operators encounter in this space include: Olga Golikova (head of payments, Parimatch), Trent Striplin (director of customer finance, FanDuel), Christian Reinheimer (group director – payments product, LeoVegas), Ralph Topping (chairman, Superbet), Thees Buschmann (head of compliance, Red Rhino), Tim Heath (founder, Coingaming Group), and Lenin Castillo (online COO, Logrand Entertainment Group).
They will be joined by representatives of two influential industry bodies, Jessica Feil (VP, Government Relations & Gaming Policy Counsel, American Gaming Association) and Tony Craddock (director general, Emerging Payments Association), together with a selection of legal experts, such as Emily Helmer (head of compliance and E-Merchant Services, Tal Ron, Drihem & Co), Guy Wilkes (partner, Mishcon de Reya), and Alfredo Lazcano (chair, Lazcano Sámano, S.C.).
Delegates can also look forward to hearing from experts in the betting and gaming industry supply chain, who between them have varied and in-depth experience of developing solutions that help operators to improve their processes, remain compliant, and enhance usability.
They include Andrea McGeachin (CCO, Neosurf), Lorenzo Pellegrino (CEO of Skrill, NETELLER and Income Access, at Paysafe Group), Philip Fayer (chairman & CEO, Nuvei), Joseph Pappano (CEO, Sightline Payments), Michael Kaplan (chief revenue officer, PayNearMe), Kendall Myles (VP of Strategic Partnerships, Trustly), Anjali S Menon (senior compliance officer and deputy MLRO, iPayTotal), and Michael Goonan (account executive director – Online Gaming, Socure).
Rasmus Sojmark, founder and CEO of SBC, said: “Getting payments, compliance and onboarding right is a key driver of player loyalty for betting and gaming operators, but it can be difficult to keep up to date with both the changing regulatory picture in multiple markets and the latest technological developments.
“SBC Digital Payments is a great opportunity for everyone in the industry to learn from the experts in our speaker line-up, as they share their experiences and exchange ideas about how to improve processes and work more effectively within the latest regulations.”
The event will bring together an audience of 750 executives and specialists, comprising representatives of betting and gaming operators around the world, global payments companies, leading tech suppliers, legal experts, and regulators.
In addition to the unique opportunity to learn from the expert speakers, delegates will have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with fellow industry professionals during the programme of networking roundtables, and to view some of the latest payments and compliance technology in the interactive exhibition.
