Peru continues to gain an influx of igaming entries as SkillOnNet confirmed itself as the latest brand to gain a licence in the Latin American nation.

Gaining the licence from the country’s Ministry of Foreign Commerce and Tourism will allow the company to offer its range of online casino brands to players across Peru for the first time.

Peruvian online casino players will benefit from the operator group’s flagship PlayUZU platform, localised for Spanish-speaking countries as a Spanish language offering.

Helena Rico, SkillOnNet Head of Marketing Spain & Latam, said: “We’re thrilled that SkillOnNet has obtained a Peruvian licence. It’s a country we’ve been following closely over the last few years, as it has huge potential to become one of the most important markets in Latin America.

“We’re sure that SkillOnNet will build a successful business as we take our unique proposition to the market, as well as one of the strongest games portfolios around. PlayUZU, as SkillOnNet´s main brand, will bring to the market its unique ‘no wagering’ proposition, meaning all the incentives given to players are restrictions free, with no strings attached.”

The move adds SkillOnNet to a constantly growing number of online casino brands that have taken advantage of Peru’s recently introduced licensing framework. The comprehensive regulatory structure was implemented in February 2024.

Since that date, several suppliers, operators, aggregators and other igaming brands have taken their first legal steps in the market. Brands that have recently entered the nation include RubyPlay, Playson and 7777 gaming

Rico continued: “At PlayUZU we will be offering a transparent, fair and safe casino gaming experience which has already proved its success in Europe and America.”
