SoftConstruct‘s General Legal Counsel Karine Hakobyan has become the latest member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL).
IMGL is an international organisation committed to advancing legal standards and best practices across the gaming industry through a global network of experts.
The organisation brings together gaming lawyers, regulators, academics and industry professionals to discuss legal and regulatory developments and exchange gaming knowledge.
Hakobyan was congratulated on her membership by SoftConstruct, who is looking forward to the insights, knowledge and industry connections she will bring back to the iGaming company.
Hakobyan noted: “As the gaming and technology sectors continue to evolve rapidly, I strongly believe that collaboration and continuous learning are essential. I look forward to engaging with fellow members, contributing to insightful discussions, and sharing experiences on the legal and regulatory challenges that shape our industry.

Earlier this year, SBC Events signed a tripartite agreement with the IMGL and the International Association of Gaming Regulators (IAGR) to collaborate on iGaming regulatory education.
The three parties will bring iGaming regulatory education across SBC’s events and media properties over the next three years, enhancing regulatory education, international cooperation and knowledge exchange through conferences, events and related content initiatives.
IMGL President Marc Dunbar stated: “This is the perfect collaboration to keep the industry educated about what is allowed and what is not in global jurisdictions.
“IMGL’s network of igaming lawyers, combined with IAGR’s regulator members, and SBC’s industry reach and extensive content portfolio, is a powerful way to keep the industry informed about the latest changes.”
SBC Summit in Lisbon on 29 September – 1 October 2026 will have a full schedule of regulatory meetups to keep stakeholders informed of the latest developments globally.
