SOFTSWISS hails early impact of referral system

iGaming technology provider SOFTSWISS has noted the strong results of its recently implemented referral system.

Built into its casino platform, the system allows players to generate a referral code to share with others in return for receiving a bonus from an operator.

According to SOFTSWISS, its operator partners have acquired over 6,000 players in the first month since launch, while reducing acquisition costs by over €1m.

Suren Vardanyan, Head of Sales at SOFTSWISS Casino Platform, commented: “For operators, the value goes beyond cost savings. Referrals add an effective word-of-mouth channel that works alongside existing marketing. A player who joins on a friend’s recommendation already trusts the brand and is more likely to stay and deposit.”

SOFTSWISS noted that in the most successful example, an operator generated up to 6% of total site traffic through referrals alone.

Operators set out their own reward conditions, such as bonus amounts for registration and deposit and wagering requirements.
