Slots streaming channel The Slot Squad has announced that it has officially launched in Michigan following the decision to legalise online casino gaming in the Wolverine state, marking America’s first legal online casino and slots channel.

Slot enthusiasts will now be able to tune into The Slot Squad’s Twitch channel, which is hosted by six streamers and goes live from 8pm EST every evening, to watch jackpot wins, enter giveaways, claim exclusive free bet offers, and learn about the only casino games on offer in Michigan.

Brought to life by US iGaming affiliate Wedge Traffic, The Slot Squad has enjoyed success in various other US states and is already showing signs of growth in the state since going live, according to a statement.

The streamers, including residents of Michigan, are ‘well versed in the gaming world’, bringing ‘interest and entertainment to the table’.

“Casino streaming is something which has become hugely popular in Europe, but has not yet broken into America,” said David Copeland, co-founder of Wedge Traffic. “We are already operating in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia with great success, and plan to bring that excitement to Michigan.”

At the beginning of the year, it was announced that regulators had approved the first 10 casinos and their online platform partners to go live, after Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed into law bipartisan House Bills 4311-12, 4916-18, 4307 and 4308, legalising  internet gaming and sports betting through casinos in the region.

The Slot Squad also added it hopes to broaden its horizons as more US states are expected to legalise online casino gaming and, in turn, the channel’s opportunities for viewership growth.
