Tipico ramps up German content offering with PopOK Gaming link-up

Tipico has boosted its content offering in Germany through a new strategic partnership with PopOK Gaming.

As a part of the collaboration, PopOK Gaming’s content portfolio will be integrated into Tipico’s platform in Germany.

PopOK described the deal as an ‘important milestone’ for both companies as they seek to share the studio’s game development expertise with Tipico’s standing in the German market.

Tipico is one of the market leaders in Germany’s sports betting and gaming market, generating revenue of €1.3bn in 2024.

However, PopOK warned of the challenges facing the German market as the sector continues to adapt to the impact of the State Treaty on Gaming 2021 (GlüStV), which implemented new rules regarding monthly deposit limits for online casinos, as well as a 5% stake-based tax on online operators.

PopOK added that the partnership lays the foundations for the developer to cultivate partnerships across Europe’s regulated markets.
