The investment arm of Vyking has added a studio founded by Harley Fresh, Australia’s most-followed Twitch streamer, to its portfolio.
Vyking Ventures confirmed its investment in Animo Studios, which describes itself as combining live entertainment, gaming and real-time technology by allowing operators to transform human dealers into any character in real time.
According to Vyking, the move allows the firm to invest in a differentiated technology business, and it will support Animo as it expands the reach of its technology.
Franz Gerhart, Chief Executive Officer of Vyking, said: “Live gaming has become crowded with experiences that often look, feel and play in very similar ways.

Harley Fresh rose to prominence on social media for producing Fortnite content and has amassed over one million followers on Instagram and four million on Twitch.
