Playson has shifted away from the payline system from its latest slot release Clover Charm: Hit the Bonus, which offered players four-leaf clover prize wins to claim our Slot of the Week award.

While players hope to land big cash prizes, Clover Charm: Hit the Bonus uses a 3×3 reel grid that has no-paylines, as wins are formed in a bonus game mode triggered by a full middle row of symbols. The Irish-themed title uses an RTP of 95.66 per cent.

Tamas Kusztos, CCO at Playson, commented: “Clover Charm: Hit the Bonus is a compelling debut that highlights our newest game mechanic, with a plethora of golden wins ignited during the bonus game.

“This latest addition displays the creativity of the team at Playson, with Clover Charm exhibiting action-packed gameplay combined with vibrant aesthetics.”

For this no-payline title, players can only achieve winning spins in the bonus game mode. This is triggered when three symbols land on the game’s middle row.

Symbols that can appear in the game include clover prize symbols, which display monetary prizes ranging from x1 to x5 the player’s wager.

Jackpot clovers can also drop into play, displaying mini (x10), minor (x20) or major (x50) prizes. Additionally, mystery jackpot symbols can appear, revealing one of the jackpot prizes when the bonus game mode comes to an end.

Mystery leprechaun hats are also available, revealing either prize symbols, jackpot prizes or boost symbols.

These boost symbols work as collect symbols, adding the values of all other prize and jackpot symbols across the reels and adding them to its own value.

In the bonus game mode, players are given three spins to land as many prize clovers, jackpots, mystery symbols or boost features on the reels as possible, with each symbol that lands resetting the number of spins to three.

Once all three spins have been completed, players will receive the accumulated value of all symbols that dropped into play. If they manage to fill the board with nine symbols, they will receive the game’s grand x1,000 jackpot prize.
