Thunderkick introduces Archie O’Loggins in SOTW triumph

Aztec wins were on offer in the latest slot from Thunderkick, Archie O’Loggins and the Enchanted Masks, which implemented several explosive wild features to claim our Slot of the Week title.

Introducing players to adventurer Archie O’Loggins, the new slot release uses a 7×7 reel board with cluster-pays and a maximum win worth x10,000 the player’s wager. The slot has high volatility with an RTP of 94.16%.

Mike Collins, Game Product Owner at Thunderkick, commented: “We are kicking off 2025 with Archie O’Loggins and the Enchanted Masks, a story-driven title that accompanies a dynamite-crazed archaeologist on his hunt for treasure.

“This game elevates our avalanche slots collection, incorporating three new special wilds that all offer something a little different to keep gameplay fresh and entertaining – especially the wild field feature with its unique method of activation.

“We strive to deliver content that adds value to our partners’ platforms, and we are hopeful this release will do just that.”

This slot uses cluster-pays, meaning that wins are formed when five or more identical symbols land adjacent to one another. Additionally, each win causes a cascading feature as the winning symbols disappear from the reels, with new symbols dropping in from the top.

When cascading wins are formed, one of the winning symbols will be replaced by a wild symbol, increasing the chances of more wins being formed as the cascade occurs.

Dynamite plunger bonus symbols can land on the board, awarding 10 free spins when three or more appear on the same turn.

Wild W symbols can also appear on the reels, substituting for all symbols other than bonus scatters.

Additionally, three special wilds – grenade, dynamite and mask wilds – can appear on the reels, awarding special features when wins are achieved using them.

If a dynamite wild lands adjacent to a winning cluster, it will cause all versions of one low value symbol on the board to be removed from the reels, creating more space for new symbols to cascade onto the reels.

When grenade symbols land in a winning cluster, they will upgrade all occurrences of one or two low or medium value symbols into medium or high value alternatives, respectively.

Mask wilds will stay sticky on the reels after applying to wins, moving to new positions after awarding each win it contributes to.

If two mask wilds appear on the same spin, a wild field feature will occur, causing the space on the reels between the two mask wilds to transform into wild symbols, awarding an enhanced win.

During the free spins feature, any high value explorer symbols that become covered by the wild field will cause it to have a win multiplier equal to the number of explorer symbols covered.

Furthermore, the grenade symbols will become enhanced by upgrading all instances of one or two low value symbols to high value explorer symbols. The dynamite symbol removes all instances of two low value symbols from the board.
