Tom Horn Gaming has blown away the competition as its latest stormy slot release, Triple Thunder, combined the forces of mythological gods to claim our Slot of the Week award.
Triple Thunder uses a 5×5 reel set-up, on which winning combinations are formed when five or more symbols land adjacently in a cluster formation. This medium volatility title has an RTP range of 95.02 and 92.35 per cent and offers a maximum win of up to x440 the player’s bet.
The game uses cascading wins, meaning that symbols in a winning combination will disappear after providing their payout to make way for new symbols to drop in and increase the win potential of an already successful spin.
Low value symbols are represented by blue tornados, red lightning bolts and green hammers, while yellow lightning bolts, teal tornados and purple hammers depict the high value symbols, which offer between x0.3 and x8 the player’s preferred bet.
Landing 10 tornado, hammer or lightning symbols in a winning cluster on the same spin will initiate their respective god’s game enhancements.
If players land 10 winning lightning bolts then Zeus’ feature will be activated, causing a cluster of wilds to appear on the reels. Landing 10 tornado symbols will trigger Perun’s enhancement, causing wilds to be placed across the reels in any formation.
If 10 hammer symbols contribute to winning clusters on the same spin, Thor’s feature will be activated, causing one giant 4×4 symbol to appear on the reels and increase the player’s chances of landing winning clusters.
When activating the free spins feature after five scatters drop in on the same spin, or cascading win, players have three free spins feature to choose from.
Thor’s free spins game mode will award 10 free spins with a x2 multiplier, while Zeus free spins will provide eight spins with x4 and Perun provides four free spins with a multiplier of x8.
