Next week’s SBC Summit Barcelona conference and exhibition is set to see an in-depth examination of the future direction of the online casino sector, delivered by a high-level speaker line-up that includes Fredrik Elmqvist (CEO, Yggdrasil Gaming), Christophe Dhaisne (head of customer experience, Kindred Group), Mery Blomqvist (chief marketing officer, Ellmount Group), Philip Lam (global head of gaming, Betsson), Katalin Horvath (director of product, Betwarrior), and Sven Kaltenegger (group head of affiliates, LeoVegas).
With Barcelona open for business events and free from quarantine requirements for visitors, the 2021 edition of the global betting and igaming show will go ahead at the Fira Barcelona Montjuic on September 21 – 24 as scheduled.
Representatives of more than 200 operators will head to the Summit’s Casino & Gaming Zone to view the latest online casino technology and content from the sector’s most innovative and creative suppliers.
In addition to the exhibition, the Zone will have its own stage and conference agenda, which will see specialists from operators and suppliers exchange ideas about what players want from slots, the influence of other forms of online entertainment on games development, and the opportunities in emerging markets.
On September 22nd, the Innovation in Gaming track will feature sessions about how to develop a customer-centric zero-harm form of gaming entertainment, the art of successfully re-skinning games, what the slots industry can learn from the video games sector, the role of content aggregators, and how start-ups can succeed in an increasingly competitive market.
Speakers include Dhaisne, Lam, Horvath, Kasper Bach (head of casino & VIP, Twin), Americo Loureiro (director, Solverde), Charles Gross (founder & CEO, SlotsMillion), Ryan Byrne (commercial manager for gaming, Betsson), Helen Walton (COO, Gamevy), Rob Proctor (content specialist director, SG Digital), and Simon Hammon (CPO, Relax Gaming).
Also on September 22nd, Elmqvist will take part in a keynote sessions on SBC Summit Barcelona’s Main Stage, during which he will answer questions about Yggdrasil’s role as gaming’s ‘global publisher’, what that means for the next generation of games, and the company’s role in driving the trends disrupting the industry.
The following day, the Zone stage will host the Global iGaming track, with sessions examining the opportunities and strategies for success in Germany, the Netherlands, Latin America, and the US.
