THE SYMBOLS
Low value symbols are represented by playing card royals, from Jack through to Ace. These symbols can offer between x0.4 and x2 the player’s bet, depending on the number of winning combinations that land on a single spin.
Next up, fans, scrolls, Koi fish and waving cats depict the high value symbols, offering between x0.4 and x12 the player’s preferred stake.
Gold coins can also drop into play displaying monetary values between x1 and x16 the player’s stake, triggering the hold the spin game mode if six or more land on the same spin.
Additionally, scatter mountains are available on reels two, three and four, triggering a progressive free spins feature if three scatters land on the same spin.
Finally, wild lotus flowers can appear. These wilds substitute for all symbols other than the gold coins and mountain scatters. Landing three, four or five wilds in a winning combination will provide wins of x2, x4 or x15 respectively.
THE DETAILS
Triggering the free spins feature up to three times in the same game session will cause a different game mode to be presented each time.
Firstly, triggering the free spins feature will award eight spins in which only high value, wild and coin symbols can drop into play.
Activating the feature for a second time will provide 15 spins where all symbols, other than scatters, are available. The third time this feature is activated, eight spins are awarded while all symbols, other than scatters, can drop into play.
During this third activated free spins game mode, one randomly selected paytable symbol can turn into wilds across the board on each spin.
The hold the spin bonus game mode sees players given three spins to land as many gold coins on the reel set as possible. Each additional coin that drops in will reset the number of spins to three.
Throughout the game, gold coins can appear displaying jackpot values of bronze (x20), silver (x50) or gold (x150), whereas the game’s platinum jackpot of x5,000 will be provided if the hold the spin reel-set becomes filled with 15 symbols.
Mystery question mark coins can also appear in this game mode, revealing either a bronze, silver or gold value when all spins have been played.
At the end of the game mode, the accumulated value of all coins on the reel set will be paid out to the player.
Furthermore, players can gamble their winnings on any successful spin. To win this gamble, players must select a hidden playing card that is higher than, or equal to, a displayed dealer’s card. Losing this gamble will leave the player empty-handed.
