SBC has partnered with SlotCatalog to create three data-driven categories at the CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards 2022.
The Awards, which form part of Malta’s Spring iGaming Week and take place at the Hilton in St. Julian’s on 26 May, honour the teams behind the best-performing, most technically advanced and imaginatively creative games titles in the igaming industry.
For the first time, the 2022 ceremony will see the Game Performance, Game Creation and Game Marketing categories augmented by a trio of awards decided by the performance of titles and studios on SlotCatalog, the leading analytics platform for the slots industry.
The three new categories are:
- SlotCatalog’s Game Studio of the Year, which will recognise the studio with the highest Slot Rank on SlotCatalog over the past year.
- SlotCatalog’s Outperforming Game Studio of the Year, which will honour the studio that has seen their SlotCatalog Slot Rank rise most over the past 12 months.
- SlotCatalog’s Rookie of the Year, for the best performing new studio. The winner will be the developer which, from not having distribution a year ago, achieves the highest ranking on 1 May 2022.
The Game Studio and Outperforming Game Studio categories will have three winners each, to reflect the contribution of developers of all sizes to the online casino industry. The small studio awards will go to providers with fewer than 30 titles, the medium studio trophies to businesses with between 30 and 100 games, and the large studio honours to some of the industry’s biggest developers.
Fedir Havlovskyi, Founder & Executive Manager of SlotCatalog, said: “We’re delighted to have partnered with SBC for these Awards. Our unique slot game analytics generate a wealth of valuable information for operators and game developers, but using SlotCatalog data to decide some of the categories at a prestigious industry awards ceremony is something new for us.”
Rasmus Sojmark, Founder & CEO of SBC, said: “We’re excited to be working with SlotCatalog on these new awards. Using SlotCatalog’s data-driven approach to determine these three categories means the winners will be studios that have produced games that really connect with players, so it will be fascinating to see who triumphs.”
The CasinoBeats Game Developer Awards ceremony is the final event of Malta’s Spring iGaming Week.
