In the latest episode of Beyond the Reels, SlotBeats enters the era of the Gold Rush with Silverback‘s Founder, Raph Di Guisto, to look closer at its new title, Wilds of the West, the first title released since its integration with GAN.
A high volatile slot, Wilds of the West is a 6×4 reel title with 4,096 ways to win and bonus features including locked and sticky wilds.
Players who enter the game will be greeted by an array of Wild West themed symbols, such as a deck of cards, cowgirl and cowboy bandits, a sheriff badge and gold cart scatter, to name but a few.
Talking about the game’s theme and how Silverback stamped their own authority on the title, Di Guisto stated: “There’s a lot of Wild West games out there, so with Wilds of the West we really wanted to take our players back to an authentic place, one with that old school orange colour scheme and a canon, a cactus and have a background with an old Wild West windmill on the left and old saloon on the right of the reels.
“It is also a place where gold mining and gambling is prevalent, we have cowboy and cowgirl bandit symbols… It has that old Western showdown theme.”
Delving more into the score and sound effects implemented within the title, Di Guisto emphasised that this was one element that he enjoyed most about Wilds of the West.
He added: “One of the things I really like about this game is the soundtrack, our sound designers did an amazing job with the old school whistles and guitar riffs. We’ve got the sound of horses galloping in the background, all-in-all it’s a very immerse environment for players and fans of the Wild West genre.
“We didn’t want to make it too cartoonish or too unrealistic but to really stick with that authentic feel of an old school western.”
Throughout the episode, Di Guisto also walked SlotBeats through the titles base and free spins mode and touched on what players can expect from the studio following its integration with GAN.
