Martin Stålros has his sights set on a busy end to 2026 and a strong start to 2027 for Relax Gaming, with new titles, jackpot hopes, market entries and position strengthening on the horizon.
Speaking to iGaming Expert, Stålros reflected on the past two years in the role of Chief Executive Officer at the slots supplier, unpacking the culture built and the direction of the company to come.
Outlining his hopes for the future, the CEO targeted three main goals for Relax Gaming to close out the year: a successful launch of upcoming title Money Train 5, excitement around Dream Drop jackpot runs, and further solidifying its presence in the US iGaming market.
Stålros commented: “My immediate focus is firmly on what we can deliver to players, and we are really looking forward to some of our major upcoming game releases. Money Train 5 is coming in late September, which is certainly leading the way.
“Our roadmap also features very interesting releases and partnerships on the aggregation side of the business towards the end of this year.”
Dream Drop jackpot runs were also at the top of Stålros’ mind, as a ‘record pace’ is currently being achieved in terms of payouts following a solid first half of the year. An iGaming market entry in Michigan is also in the pipeline, as Relax Gaming aims to expand its US presence.
The CEO noted: “I would absolutely love to see a couple of deep Dream Drop jackpot runs. When these jackpots reach significant levels, it becomes an incredibly compelling proposition for players and provides operators with a fantastic opportunity for reactivation.
“We have paid out seven Dream Drop jackpots already this year (January to July), which means we are running at a record pace. With traditional high seasons of Q3 and Q4 still to come, the picture looks set to become even more exciting.
“We are also focusing on our US ambitions, specifically eyeing an entry into the regulated market of Michigan. This would complete our presence in the country’s three largest regulated iGaming states.”
Relax Gaming doesn’t want to change course once the new year arrives, as Stålros believes the company can ‘strengthen its position as a true multi-product supplier’ for its partners ‘to continue seeing Relax as an easy, technically stable company to work with’.
“Whether they want our games, our aggregation platform, or our jackpot products, every step along the journey together should be pain-free,” added Stålros.
“While ensuring that this is the case, we want to stay true to who we are: maintaining technical excellence, empowering our people to do their best work, and always trying to challenge the status quo through innovation.
During the interview, Stålros also assessed the past two years since becoming CEO of Relax Gaming, navigating the supplier’s need to change and performance at the same time, as well as the highlights achieved so far.
