SG Digital, Relax Gaming & Tom Horn Gaming: March SOTW

Kicking off March saw SG Digital claim its first of two SOTW awards during the month with the first being another addition to Rainbow Riches.

Kicking off March saw SG Digital claim its first of two SOTW awards during the month with the first being another addition to its Rainbow Riches franchise.

Not needing a photo finish, Rainbow Riches Race Day is a six reel slot which offers 4,096 ways to win along with horses located at the top of the reel that move corresponding to the horse symbol that lands.

Commenting on the launch of the title, Rob Procter, content specialist director, digital at Scientific Games, noted: “Rainbow Riches Race Day marks another stellar addition to our portfolio this year and offers a unique gameplay that evolves the Rainbow Riches franchise to a new level.

“Those familiar with horse racing arcade machines will appreciate the way in which we’ve incorporated the format into the game, while for Rainbow Riches fans there’s a new concept to experience that includes all the iconic characteristics they love.

“We believe Rainbow Riches Race Day will appeal to a wide audience and prove to be a huge hit with players.”

During the base game, when one or more winning combinations land, the winning symbols will explode with new symbols taking their place.

Additionally, if the player lands four or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels it will trigger the free spins feature. Landing a horse symbol on the reels will contribute to the horse’s feature. Furthermore, the wild symbol will substitute for any other symbol, other than the scatter or horse.

“We’re pleased to be working closely with Scientific Games again to extend our range of Rainbow Riches titles with this exclusive deal,” added Simon Mizzi, marketing director at Gamesys.

“Rainbow Riches Race Day is an exciting new game which showcases our quest to innovate with new, topical content that will resonate with our players and help us to reach new audiences.”

The second SOTW winner in March was awarded to Tom Horn Gaming as it spun its wheel and landed our accolade in Wheel of Luck Hold&Win.

A title with a medium to high volatility level, Wheel of Luck is a 3×5 video slot which offers players 25-paylines along with featuring a free spins mode, a Hold&Win respin round and Wheel of Luck bonus feature.

“We constantly look for ways to enhance our content offering,” noted Ondrej Lapides, CEO at Tom Horn Gaming, at the launch of the slot. “In 2021 we plan to deliver more fun and a variety of slots with thrilling features to engage and excite players in different markets.

“Wheel of Luck. Hold&Win is the first in line of many unique titles we have in the pipeline. We’re positive the game’s features, dynamic gameplay and well-known theme will resonate with players, keeping them entertained and immersed throughout the game.”

The third title to claim our SOTW in March is SG Digital’s second of the month, and second link-up with Hasbro, as it passes ‘Go’ in Monopoly Utility Trails

Produced by Scientific Games’ in-house studio, Monopoly Utility Trails is a 8×7, cluster pays slot title which includes a water works spin streak, community chest and wild rails expanding wilds.

On the slot, Procter noted: “Monopoly remains one of the most popular game brands in the world and we thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Hasbro in delivering this innovative new title.

“Our OpenGaming proposition really springs to life with the Monopoly brand, and Monopoly Utility Trails typifies everything we are about in terms of game releases this year. Our in-house team has produced a slot that has a great front end, striking artwork and as ever, a strong set of responsible gaming features.

“The Cluster pays mechanic has great potential and this is a slot we are certain will be enjoyed by players seeking a new, feature-rich experience that builds on the success of a timeless classic.”

The final Slot of the Week for Match went to Relax Gaming as it located the Templars’ treasure with its Templar Tumble

The six reel video slot incorporates the cascade/tumble mechanic and offers 117,649 ways to win, along with a free spins mode and multipliers.

Commenting on the launch of the title, Simon Hammon, CPO at Relax Gaming, explained: “Our Tumble series has been an exceptionally strong performer and this new instalment is set to continue in the same vein.

“Temple Tumble has all the gameplay allure of its predecessors with a stylish new theme and features that fans old and new are sure to love.”

During the title’s free spins mode, which is triggered by destroying all the blocker symbols in the base game, players begin with six spins. If a wild lands, a number of normal symbols will be transformed into mystery symbols. Mystery symbols continue to accumulate until no more wins are awarded.
