BetMGM has collaborated with UK game studio Atlantic Digital to produce its latest branded slot release, launching Star Trek: The Next Generation in Michigan.
Using IP from the popular television series, Star Trek: The Next Generation showcases a 5×5 reel grid that implements free spins, cascading wins, a power meter and a bonus spinning wheel game mode.
While the game is currently available via BetMGM’s Michigan-facing platform, the operator has also suggested that it will bring the branded product to its other existing US markets.
“Star Trek is one of the biggest media franchises of all time. We are honored to expand its universe to igaming,” said Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM VP of Gaming Product & Content.
“It is another perfect addition to our ever-growing library of games that can’t be found anywhere else in the US.”
Elements from the television series, which ran from 1987 to 1994 for seven seasons, are used throughout the slot release, with the USS Enterprise starship featuring as the game’s free spins scatter.
Additionally, cascading wins feature in the title, causing winning symbols to disappear after providing their payout prizes. This will make way for new symbols to drop in and increase the win potential of each base game spin.
BetMGM recently elevated its slot offering in the UK after reaching an agreement with game developer Realistic Games, hosting its slot releases on its UK-facing online casino platform that launched last year.
